1855 pattern with 2 ¼” blade decorated with trophies of antique arms and armor and crowned Italian eagle with a cross to his chest. The back marked MENDOZZA NAPOLI. Elegant clipped point. Iron hilt with broad rectangular langets. Finger stall one piece horn grip. Two ring iron scabbard (one ring mount damaged) with surface rust and dent. The blade crisp with a little finger staining only. Hilt excellent for the period.
